Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Security Architect to join our Product Security team. You will collaborate with development teams to embed security into design and development, across Akamai's products, including security, CDN, and cloud services.

You’ll have room to work with AI tools and help shape our security strategy. As an Architect, you will conduct security-focused design reviews, partner with cross-functional teams to remediate issues, and guide secure design decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in security architecture in a large, global environment.
• Knowledge of the latest security technologies and attack techniques.
• Ability to remediate vulnerabilities and propose secure design changes.
• Breadth of security knowledge across cloud, network, cryptography, etc.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks such as STAMP, STRIDE, etc.
• Strong communication to a worldwide, non-technical audience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security-focused design reviews across applications, systems and networks.
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams to remediate issues.
• Collaborate with product teams on secure design and development choices.
• Provide guidance on security practices and questions.
• Serve as SME during incidents and remediation projects.
• Identify tools and processes to ensure security and compliance.
• Integrate responsible AI use and secure AI practices.
