Job summary

Salesforce is building a new Professional Services Security Assurance (PSSA) team within the Security Practice. This is a hands-on, founding role focused on delivering high-impact security engagements and shaping secure-by-design deployments for customers.

The Senior/Lead role requires 5+ to 8+ years in application security or security consulting, with strong threat modeling, pen-testing, and cloud security experience.

Qualifications

• Senior: 5+ years in Application Security, Product Security, or Security Consulting.
• Lead: 8+ years in Application Security, Product Security, or Security Consulting.
• Hands-on experience performing security assessments, including architecture/design reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, API Security Top 10, and common attack techniques.
• Experience assessing modern architectures: web apps, APIs, microservices, containers, cloud-native, AI-enabled apps.
• Experience communicating findings to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go or C#.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, InfoSec, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagements by performing in-depth security assessments of web, mobile, API, cloud, and AI-enabled apps.
• Conduct threat modeling to identify attack vectors and recommend controls.
• Develop security assessment reports with findings, risk ratings, and remediation guidance.
• Provide practical remediation guidance and security best practices to customers.
• Collaborate with professional services to integrate security throughout SDLC.
• Develop methodologies, automation, and tooling to improve quality and scalability.
• Contribute to security standards and reference architectures with internal teams.
• Research emerging threats and provide proactive recommendations.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and leadership.
