Job Responsibilities
- Patrol all FHCSD sites to ensure safety and security standards are met or exceeded.
- Conduct comprehensive site patrols, including exterior and interior checks, and coordinate with site leadership.
- Prevent HIPAA breaches through vigilant patrols and report findings to management.
- Use surveillance systems and smart devices to identify and address security issues.
- Address security concerns, including de-escalation of aggressive behavior, and involve backup or emergency teams as needed.
- Provide arrest and control when necessary to maintain safety.
- Assist with traffic control during major events.
- Participate in organizational drills and emergency procedures.
- Guide staff, patients, visitors, and vendors to safety during emergencies.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and assist emergency vehicles.
- Monitor parking areas across sites.
- Manage security access and assignments for staff and vendors.
- Operate and maintain security software and emergency devices.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid California driver’s license, with specific requirements for age, driving record, and vehicle reliability.
- Successful completion of CPR, First Aid, and California Guard Card within first 30 days.
Skills and Experience
- Sound judgment and professionalism in emergencies.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of security software and basic computer skills.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, patients, and visitors.
Schedule and Compensation
- Rotating schedule with after-hours on-call.
- Starting pay: $25.00 per hour.
