Job summary

BIRGER. is recruiting Security Analyst/s Level 1 (L1) to monitor security events, implement tools, and respond swiftly to requests across client environments. The role offers opportunities to advance into Senior Security Analyst or Security Engineering tracks.

Ideal candidates have a real interest in cyber security, strong English and French communication, and the ability to work on a 24x7 schedule with travel as needed. Reports to the Cyber Defense Centre Leader.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, ICT or related field.
• Professional Certification CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CEH / Incident Handling or equivalent is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and elevate accordingly.
• Implement and manage security tools.
• Troubleshoot and respond to requests in a timely manner.
• Monitor and remediate Cyber Security incidents.
• Research and investigate issues with a critical mindset to determine the actual problem.
• Prepare regular Cyber Security reports.

We are recruiting Security Analyst/s Level 1 (L1). The ideal candidates will have a real interest in working in the Cyber Security field. Candidates will have the opportunity to move into a more senior role such as Senior Security Analyst, Security Engineering positions or Technical Business Development position.

Job Description

• To monitor security events and elevate accordingly.
• Implement and manage security tools.
• Troubleshoot and respond to requests in an accurate and timely manner.
• Monitoring and remediation of Cyber Security incidents.
• Research and investigate issues with a critical mindset to determine the actual problem.
• Prepare regular Cyber Security reports.

Job Requirements

• Reports to the Cyber Defense Centre Leader.
• Monitoring Real time security events for client environments.
• Research and Determine the actual problem.
• Escalate the issue to correct contacts (including opening tickets).
• Implement and manage Cyber Security solutions.
• Proactively research and monitor security information to identify potential threats that may impact the organisation.
• Attend to client requests by email or telephone.
• Create and Deliver Reports.
• Able to work on shift schedule, 24x7x365 coverage, including holidays and weekends.
• Available to travel overseas for implementation of projects.

Recommended Knowledge And Experience

• Knowledge of Network Infrastructures.

• Knowledge of different operating systems (such as Windows, Unix and Linux).
