Job summary

The L3 Security Analyst at Sphynx is responsible for providing advanced-level security analysis and incident response within the SOC team, participating in proactive threat hunting and complex investigations to detect and mitigate breaches.

You will utilize security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR, coordinate remediation with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior analysts, document investigations, and continuously improve controls while keeping up with evolving threats and technologies to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Security Analyst with expertise in threat hunting and incident response.
  • Strong knowledge of security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) and networking.
  • Relevant certifications are desired.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of networking and security protocols
  • Understanding of network/security architectures.
  • Experience with security incident investigation and response.
  • Proficiency in malware analysis and reverse engineering.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and other security technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, OSCP) are desired.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with threat intelligence and hunting platforms.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and technologies.
  • Scripting or programming skills.
