Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Security Analyst Intern based at its Wallops Island, Virginia site to support the Security Team by applying knowledge to security education, risk assessments, network infrastructure research, physical security, and more.

You will work with mentors and peers on a fast-paced team, attend regular 1:1s, and participate in tech talks and networking events to grow your skills and contribute to protecting people, assets, and information.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an associates, bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree program in criminal justice, national security, emergency management, or similar.
• At least one semester of school remaining post internship.
• GPA of 3.0.
• 3+ months of general work experience (internships or other personal/team project experience).
• Nice to have: GPA 3.5 or higher.
• Nice to have: Military experience (active duty or reserves) or ROTC.
• Nice to have: Experience in aerospace or tech industry.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge as part of the Security Team to security education and risk assessments.
• Support network infrastructure research and physical security initiatives.
• Engage in projects with mentors and collaborate across teams to deliver results.
• Attend frequent 1:1s with mentors and supervisors for progress updates.
• Participate in tech talks and intern networking events.
