Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking world-class scientists to join the Security Analytics and AI Research team within AWS Security Services. You will research and develop core ML/AI solutions for GuardDuty and Security Hub, inventing innovative approaches for hard security problems at scale.

The team focuses on producing production-ready ML/AI systems to strengthen customers’ security posture, while valuing work-life balance and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on predictive modeling and large data analysis experience.
• 2+ years of programming in Java, C++, Python or related language experience.
• 2+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.

Responsibilities

• Invent, implement, and deploy state of the art ML/AI algorithms for information security applications.
• Rapidly design, prototype and test hypotheses in a high-ambiguity environment using quantitative and business judgment.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate experiments into production services.
• Report results in a scientifically rigorous way.
• Interact with security engineers, product managers and domain experts to tackle challenges needing innovative solutions.
