Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking an Applied Scientist to join the AI Security team that builds AI-based security analysis services to identify, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities in source code and cloud configurations. You will research and deploy ML models and agentic systems that reason over code, infrastructure, and security context.

You will collaborate with scientists, security engineers, software engineers, and external researchers to improve detection, severity assessment, and remediation

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s with 4+ years in CS, CE, ML or related field.
• Publications or patents in top-tier venues.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python or similar languages.
• Experience in algorithms, parsing, data mining, and parallel/distributed computing.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop scalable methods to solve AI security problems.
• Lead cross-functional work to develop models and designs for AI systems that analyze code and generate remediation guidance at scale.
