GardaWorld is hiring a Security Account Manager to oversee a 24/7 construction-security operation in the Pittsburgh area.

This role oversees approximately 12–13 security officers supporting multiple nearby project locations within a small geographic area. The account includes two fixed security posts focused on access control and visitor management, along with a 24/7 vehicle patrol function.

The Account Manager will lead day-to-day officer operations, staffing and coverage, client communication, post compliance, incident response, and overall service delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone with security management experience who is comfortable working in a construction or similar operational environment.

Your Responsibilities as a Security Account Manager:

• Lead and support approximately 12–13 security officers across a 24/7 construction-security operation.


• Manage staffing, scheduling, call-offs, coverage, attendance, and day-to-day officer performance.


• Ensure officers consistently follow post orders, access-control procedures, visitor-management requirements, and patrol expectations.


• Maintain regular communication with client representatives and promptly address service concerns.


• Conduct routine site visits and maintain visibility across assigned project locations.


• Oversee vehicle patrol operations and ensure patrol requirements are completed as expected.


• Develop, maintain, and update security procedures and post orders as needed.


• Respond to security incidents and after-hours operational issues when necessary.


• Conduct basic incident investigations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions when appropriate.


• Maintain accurate security records and prepare required client and operational reports.


• Train officers and other personnel on site-specific security procedures.


• Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when needed.


• Perform other duties consistent with the role as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• At least five (5) years of experience managing security operations in a construction setting. Experience must include security-management responsibilities, rather than solely officer-level assignments or general construction supervision.


• Demonstrated experience supervising security personnel, communicating performance expectations, and consistently executing security procedures.


• Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining Security Plans, post orders, or comparable site-security procedures.


• Experience managing security incidents, conducting investigations, documenting findings, and coordinating corrective actions.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to train personnel, communicate with client representatives, and prepare clear reports and recommendations.


• Sound judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situations.


• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing needs, and maintain accountability across multiple work locations.


• Ability to work on-site at assigned Pittsburgh-area locations and meet the position’s scheduling requirements, including evening and weekend availability.


• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

Experience managing security for heavy-civil, infrastructure, utility, transportation, or other complex construction projects is preferred. Additional relevant experience includes overseeing multiple security locations, working directly with contractors and owner representatives, and coordinating with police or other emergency-response agencies.

General security experience, construction supervision, or law enforcement experience alone does not replace the required construction-security management experience.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position operates in active construction environments and requires regular movement throughout assigned sites. Essential duties include extended periods of walking and standing, patrolling, and bending. Work may involve exposure to construction-related noise and dust.

Employees must follow applicable site-safety procedures and access restrictions and perform incident-response responsibilities within established procedures and their training.
