Job summary

Verano is seeking aSecurity Specialist at our Readington, NJ facility. You will handle entry control, badge creation, surveillance review, and alarm coordination to protect people and assets on-site.

Responsibilities include signing in visitors and drivers, logging events, and communicating clearly with the Security Manager to resolve system discrepancies. You will work in a vigilant warehouse setting with adherence to SOPs and state cannabis regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations and procedures.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must register with the state cannabis commission as an agent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Willing to learn facility equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Check in employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
• Ensure all individuals sign in on the sign-in sheet.
• Scan IDs and provide temporary badges.
• Maintain logs of scanned IDs and facility activity.
• Review surveillance video and create event logs.
• Create new badge access cards for staff and visitors.
• Alert management to security system issues and outages.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and shipments with management.
• Monitor quality control and SOP adherence.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Document activity using the company’s tracking system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
