Job summary

Verano is seeking a Security Specialist to perform security and safety functions within a cannabis cultivation facility. The role provides critical security and administrative support to management and may cross-train to support other departments as needed.

This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of $18, requiring a valid SORA license and ensuring compliance with all security procedures and state/local laws.

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations and procedures is required.
• Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Check in all employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
• Ensure all visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers sign in on the sign-in sheet.
• Scan IDs and provide temporary badges to visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers.
• Maintain all logs of scanned IDs, sign-in sheets, and facility logs.
• Review surveillance video and maintain event logs from security systems.
• Create new badge access cards for new employees, visitors, and vendors.
