Job summary

IDS International is seeking an Access Control Officer to manage secure facility access, verify credentials, and document security activities. The role requires using government systems to ensure only authorized personnel and materials access controlled areas.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance, CPR/AED certs, and at least 21 years old. The position is contingent on contract award and primarily on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience with DoD security systems (DISS, Scattered Castles).
• CPR and AED certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Control access of personnel, visitors, and equipment into and out of secure facilities.
• Verify access authorization using government security systems and databases.
• Perform face-to-ID verification for entrants to controlled facilities.
• Conduct entry/exit inspections and validate forms and documentation.
• Document security-related activities and incidents per procedures.
• Monitor and enforce access control procedures to maintain secure environments.
• Follow post orders and security instructions with professionalism and vigilance.
• Respond to security-related situations and emergencies per protocols.
