Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Patrol Driver for a Retail Parking Lot Access Control role in Santa Ana, CA. You will patrol the site by vehicle and on foot, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers and staff.

This is a full-time, mix-shift position with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. The schedule includes multiple shifts across days, with requirements for a valid driver’s license and a Background check.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen are required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store associates and visitors by following security procedures.

As a Security Patrol Driver Retail Parking Lot Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a driving Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail location, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter incidents. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for security-related concerns such as unauthorized access, theft-related activity, property damage, and hazards, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, traffic flow, and incident documentation while maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
