Job summary

AQR Capital Management is seeking a valuation professional to join the Security Valuation group in the U.S. This role oversees governance, methodology oversight, and the control environment for valuations across mutual funds, UCITS, private funds and separate account structures.

You will drive the operating model, challenge pricing, manage third-party pricing, and work with fund treasury, risk, compliance, and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate valuations in line with SEC Rule 2a-5 and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in valuation or pricing.
• Deep technical expertise in valuation methodologies and inputs.
• Strong understanding of corporate actions and their impact on daily valuation.
• Knowledge of derivatives and how to price them with vendor data.
• Experience building, reviewing or overseeing complex valuation models.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end valuation, including governance and fair value determinations.
• Define and execute the valuation strategy and operating model for scalability.
• Oversee daily/periodic valuation activities across asset classes.
• Apply independent judgment to evaluate methodologies and inputs.
• Ensure compliance with SEC Rule 2a-5 and UCITS frameworks.
• Oversee pricing vendors, third-party service providers, and due diligence.
• Identify valuation risks and implement controls improvements.
• Collaborate with auditors and third-party administrators on valuation matters.
• Design and review complex valuation models aligned with industry practices.
