Job summary

Polarits in New York City is seeking a Securities Lending Front Office Developer with strong Java experience and a background in front-office collaboration with traders. The role requires working on mission-critical lending platforms, with exposure to BTCC, FIS Loanet/Loanex or Global One, and modern DevSecOps practices.

Hybrid work and a multi-asset environment are expected. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in Java within capital markets, knowledge of Spring/Hibernate, and messaging systems

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java development in Securities Lending space.
• Experience with Securities Lending platforms like FIS Loanet/Loanex or Global One.
• Experience with mission-critical trading platforms (Order/Stock Loan/Market Data Systems).
• BTCC exposure.
• Direct collaboration with traders, quants and risk teams.
• DevSecOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonarQube).
• Frontend basics: HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

Responsibilities

Key skills

Java, Securities Lending, Lending Platform experience (like FIS (Loanet/Loanex) or Global One), BTCC, some sort of AI platform like DL4J is a plus, Murex is also a plus

Really need more of a front office type of person (i.e., working with traders)

USC/GC strongly preferred

Local candidates strongly preferred, interview will be f-f for final round (after 2-3 video rounds, will likely have a coding test)

• 5+ years of Java development experience, ideally in capital markets/financial services
• Experience with frameworks (Spring, Hibernate), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake)
• Proficiency with Git and Agile development
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills

Good to Have

• Experience with AI/ML
• Experience and familiarity with Log observability tools such as Elastic Search/Kibana/Splunk stack.
• Familiarity with pricing models, quantitative analysis, and P&L calculations.
• Experience with leading industry platforms, including Quod, FlexTrade, Charles River Trader, Nuvoprime, and Murex.
• Experience with cloud (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of regulatory/risk/compliance and audit controls in Securities Lending space is plus.
