Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an Analyst to support daily processing and monitoring of securities finance collateral activities, including cash, non-cash, tri-party, and Canadian collateral management. You will work with a team to ensure timely settlement and accurate processing while upholding risk controls.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, 0-3 years of experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent securities operations experience.
• 0-3 years in securities finance, collateral management, custody, settlements, or financial operations.
• Understanding of securities lending, collateral management, and settlement processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor daily collateral movements across cash, non-cash, tri-party, and Canadian markets.
• Ensure timely settlement of collateral and securities transfers across DTC, FED, and Canadian depositories.
• Investigate and resolve stock, cash, and settlement exceptions.
• Perform daily reconciliations of internal accounts and external depository activity.
• Monitor collateral sufficiency and assist in managing exposures and shortfalls.
• Communicate with borrowers, counterparties, custodians, and internal partners to resolve issues.
• Support corporate action processing and collateral impacts during market events.
• Maintain compliance with procedures, controls, and risk requirements.
• Contribute to process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with global partners, including Chicago and Bangalore teams, for coverage.
