Ohio Department of Commerce is seeking a full-time attorney within the Division of Securities in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on investigating violations of the Ohio Securities Act, licensing professionals, and pursuing enforcement actions.

Must work with prosecutors and agencies as part of multi-jurisdictional efforts. The position requires Ohio Bar admission and 12 months of attorney experience, plus 6 months in training and development.

Competenze

• Admission to the Ohio Bar and active licensure.
• At least 12 months of experience as a licensed attorney.
• At least 6 months of experience in employee training and development.

Mansioni

• Plan, direct, coordinate and conduct complex investigations of violations of the Ohio Securities Act and related white collar crimes.
• Serve in fiduciary relationship as a management-level attorney within the Division of Securities; maintain confidentiality with the Commissioner.
• Perform research and analysis of legal issues and make recommendations for enforcement actions.
• Prepare for hearings including witness questions, exhibits and sworn statements under oath; support settlement negotiations and trials.
• Work with the Ohio Attorney General Executive Agencies and prosecutors for prosecution and litigation of matters.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and prosecutors on multi-jurisdictional investigations.
