RTX is offering an on-site Secure System Engineering internship in Windsor Locks (Summer 2027). You’ll join the Embedded Product Cybersecurity team to strengthen cyber-resilient systems and contribute to a Secure System Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).

The role emphasizes hands-on security testing, threat modeling, and developing Python tools to automate cybersecurity workflows. You’ll gain practical experience across security design, implementation, and verification.

Formación

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours by start of internship/co-op.
• Solid understanding of fundamental cybersecurity principles.
• High proficiency in Python programming.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and secure architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with fuzzing and penetration tests to evaluate attack surface.
• Develop threat models and data flow diagrams for secure data handling.
• Implement mandatory access controls (MAC) via SELinux policy development.
• Participate in code reviews to identify security weaknesses.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments on proposed and in-service systems.
• Develop and improve tools and scripts to enhance cybersecurity workflows.
