Job summary

The Building People is seeking an HVAC Technician to support a secure federal O&M program in Northern Virginia. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and service responses for HVAC systems in mission-critical environments, including BAS/DDC, chillers, boilers, and air handlers.

You will work with site leadership, maintenance staff, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure operational readiness and compliance with contract requirements and government

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining HVAC systems in commercial or federal facilities.
• Familiarity with BAS/DDC controls, chillers, boilers, CRAC units, and associated mechanical infrastructure.
• Ability to work in secure environments and follow Government standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems in mission-critical facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment and related components.
• Respond to service calls and coordinate with maintenance staff and subcontractors.
• Maintain thorough maintenance documentation and logs.
• Support emergency response operations as required.
