Job summary

Synertex LLC in the Northern Capital Region is hiring a Cloud Architect to design secure, scalable cloud environments for federal and intelligence community initiatives. The role emphasizes cloud-native design, secure infrastructure, and system integration in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.

You will lead IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation, migrate legacy systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years in cloud architecture.
• Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; certifications preferred.
• Strong cloud security principles and compliance knowledge.
• Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost‑effective cloud architectures

REQUIREMENTS

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar cloud platforms (certifications preferred)

• Proven experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect
• Experience migrating mission‑critical applications to the cloud
• Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST)
• Background working with multi‑disciplinary government or IC teams
