Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Cloud AI Engineer (Mid-Level) to design, implement, and migrate secure Google Cloud solutions for federal clients. This hybrid role travels to customer sites across the Continental U.S. and requires an Active TS/SCI or the ability to obtain one.

You'll work with Terraform, GKE, Gemini, and CI/CD pipelines, mentoring junior engineers, while aligning with DoD FedRAMP guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related STEM field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 3–5 years designing and supporting Google Cloud Platform or comparable enterprise cloud environments
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premises to public cloud
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, storage, compute, and security principles
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Familiarity with Google Cloud SDK (gcloud) or similar tools
• Experience supporting Kubernetes or containerized environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable Google Cloud solutions for federal customers
• Lead cloud migration planning and execution from legacy infrastructure to Google Cloud
• Architect highly available cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical workloads
• Configure IAM, encryption services, and VPC networks
• Deploy and support GKE, Cloud Run, and serverless workloads
• Build Terraform IaC and CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor Associate Cloud AI Engineers and guide project delivery
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to deliver cloud modernization initiatives
