Job summary

3M is seeking a Platform / DevSecOps Engineer to own the secure AI platform foundation across isolated cloud networks, hybrid infra, and air-gapped on-premises environments. You will design, build, automate, operate, secure, and ensure recoverability for real-time inference and large-scale simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, CE, cybersecurity, or information systems.
• 7 years building, operating, automating, securing, or recovering business-critical platforms.
• 7 years platform engineering, DevSecOps, SRE, cloud infra, or security.
• 3 years Terraform across public/private cloud.
• 3 years GitHub Enterprise Server administration.
• 3 years scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with air-gapped/disconnected environments.
• Technical owner of mission-critical production platforms.
• Experience deploying physical infrastructure.
• Experience with cybersecurity/compliance standards (NIST/DO D StIGs).
• Experience with Agile Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end operation of collaboration and software platforms (compute, storage, network, runners).
• Establish secure platform foundation with reliability, availability, and cost accountability.
• Enforce Zero Trust across environments (public, DMZ, on-prem, cloud).
• Administer GitHub Enterprise Server (repos, permissions, runners, logs).
• Manage identity, secrets, and certificates with federation/SSO.
• Build a secure software-supply-chain pipeline for artifacts into protected envs.
• Create geographically redundant backups and failover tests.
• Automate and monitor platform with Terraform, scripts, observability, and threat remediation.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
