Job summary

Spatial Front, Inc. in Crystal City, VA is seeking an AI Integration Engineer to design and build MCP servers and integration components in Python, connecting AI agents with enterprise systems securely.

You will work with PeopleSoft HCM/CRM, Oracle databases, APIs, and data sources, implementing authentication, least-privilege access, and robust testing in a federal-grade environment.

This is a full-time, onsite/hybrid role for a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering/IS.
• 3+ years in software development, systems integration, API development, or enterprise integration.
• Strong Python development skills for services, APIs, and connectors.
• Hands-on experience with MCP servers/tools or similar AI tool-integration work.
• Experience integrating applications, APIs, databases, and enterprise services.
• Knowledge of REST, JSON, HTTP, authentication/authorization, and schemas.
• Experience implementing secure, least-privilege access and secure service communication.
• Experience with automated testing, Git, CI/CD, and modern dev practices.
• Strong troubleshooting across MCP, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain MCP servers and integration components in Python.
• Develop reusable MCP tools and interfaces for AI agents to interact with enterprise apps, databases, and APIs.
• Build MCP capabilities exposing enterprise functions securely to AI applications.
• Develop Python-based connectors translating MCP tool requests into secure calls to APIs, databases, and services.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and least-privilege access for MCP systems.
• Maintain MCP interfaces, API specs, data mappings, and deployment procedures.
• Collaborate with PeopleSoft teams to expose HCM/CRM functionality via integration mechanisms.
• Create and maintain mocks, test harnesses, and automated integration tests.
