Job summary

Spatial Front, Inc. is seeking an AI Integration Engineer to design and develop MCP servers and tools to enable secure AI-agent interaction with PeopleSoft HCM/CRM and other enterprise systems.

You will create reusable interfaces, connectors, and services that enforce security, permissions, and data controls while collaborating with AI developers, data engineers, DBAs, and cybersecurity personnel. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development, systems integration, API development, middleware, backend development, or comparable enterprise integration experience.
• Strong hands-on Python development skills with services, APIs, libraries, connectors, and integration components.
• Experience designing integrations between applications, APIs, databases, and enterprise services.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, authentication/authorization, input/output schemas, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with secure database integrations using SQL and database-access libraries.
• Experience implementing service authentication, secrets management, certificates/tokens, least-privilege access, and secure service-to-service communication.
• Experience with integration reliability patterns (validation, retries, timeouts, logging, monitoring).
• Experience with automated testing, Git, CI/CD, debugging, and modern software-development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain MCP servers and integration components using Python.
• Develop reusable MCP tools, prompts, schemas, and interfaces for AI agents to interact with enterprise applications, databases, and APIs.
• Build MCP capabilities to securely expose enterprise functions like search, retrieval, and knowledge content.
• Develop Python-based connectors and services translating MCP tool requests into secure calls to enterprise APIs and databases.
• Design MCP tools with inputs/outputs, validation rules, permissions, and error handling.
• Implement read-only and transactional integration patterns with least-privilege access.
• Develop APIs, backend services, adapters, and integration logic for MCP tools to access enterprise systems.
• Integrate MCP services with Oracle databases, case-management systems, knowledge repositories, and data sources.
• Work with PeopleSoft teams to expose HCM/CRM functions via Integration Broker, web services, or APIs.
• Develop queries and data-access components with proper data filtering, validation, and security.
• Apply authentication/authorization, tokens/certificates, and cloud identity mechanisms.
• Maintain MCP interface docs, API specs, data mappings, and deployment procedures.
• Participate in Agile/SAFe activities and code reviews.
