About the Role:

As a CBRE Sector Lead- Sr Finance Director, you will be responsible for developing and managing all departmental finance functions.

This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

What you'll do:

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct

  • performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and crosstrain

  • staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Plan, approve, and execute budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning processes, and standard

  • management reporting.

  • Assist Executive Management with setting direction for the business.

  • Establish all departmental priorities to meet deadlines. Develop financial policies and procedures.

  • Point of contact for the Operations team to support initiatives within the business.

  • Review and approve capex projects under company approval guidelines.

  • Apply deep knowledge of multiple disciplines, broad industry knowledge, and commercial

  • awareness. Drive financial and functional performance within disciplines and across business.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Negotiate with

  • senior management, customers, and external parties of divergent interests to reach an agreement of

  • strategic importance while being guided by the business segment and the organization's functional

  • strategy.

  • Conceptualize new methods, techniques, processes, and standards across job disciplines or functions.

  • Direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems by applying advanced critical

  • thinking.

  • Global experience needed

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a

  • combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring,

  • appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance

  • expectations and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job

  • discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Expert organizational skills with an unrivaled inquisitive mindset.

  • Expert math skills. Ability to calculate complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other

  • financial-related calculations.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $190,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $230,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
