I I Stanley Co., Inc. in Battle Creek, MI, a leading automotive lighting designer and maker, seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our main plant.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVACR, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems to keep production running smoothly. The role requires weekend/holiday overtime, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with outside vendors.

• 3+ years in a commercial/industrial maintenance role

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of main facility and warehouse
• Maintain HVACR, water systems, electrical and fire/life safety systems
• Monitor building and manufacturing support systems
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for quotations
• Provide facilities project management support
• Repair compressed air and plumbing systems as needed
• On-call for facility issues or emergencies
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs

Job description

I I Stanley Company, Inc., a leading supplier of automotive lighting products, was established in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1985. Founded on the principles of respect, trust, and value, we serve a wide range of customers - domestic and foreign - by supplying them with high-quality automotive headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the maintenance of our main facility and warehouse
• Maintenance of HVACR systems, chilled water/domestic water/deionized water systems, phone, and data cabling, compressed air systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and fire and life safety systems
• Position will require strong mechanical aptitude, strong electrical knowledge, and strong knowledge of all building and manufacturing support systems
• Watch over electric/gas/water services including maintenance, repair, and installations
• Make recommendation for utility and cost reduction
• Assist with the coordination of outside vendors and contactors for quotations
• Coordinating efforts for any facilities project management
• Repair compressed air and plumbing systems as needed
• Ability to be on call if any facility issues or emergencies were to arise
• Perform basic HVAC preventative maintenance and repairs
• Perform other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of the immediate supervisor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be available for weekend and daily overtime
• 1 + year commercial HVAC experience
• 3 + years in a commercial or industrial maintenance position
• Preventative maintenance experience
• Must be able to work Sunday's and Holiday's when the job requires
• Strong problem-solving skills

OPTIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Good communication skills, teamwork, and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• 3 + years commercial HVAC experience
• Licensed Master or Journeyman Electrician in the United States
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED
