Job summary
Raytheon is seeking an Electrical Engineering leader to head the Effector Analog & Power Department section in Tucson. The role blends engineering management with hands-on design, simulation, and analysis using SABER and related tools.
You will guide a team of engineers, set technical direction, and contribute to program success. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in multi-project environments, and a track record of mentoring, hiring, and delivering design artifacts.
Qualifications
- Requires a STEM bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience or an Advanced STEM degree with 6 years of experience
- Experience taking a design concept to a complete system model
- Experience with the SABER simulation tool
Responsibilities
- Manage a section of 12 to 20 engineers
- Enable career development for direct reports
- Develop training curricula and mentor staff
- Lead functional and cross-disciplinary teams to meet goals and budgets
- Assist with hiring (resume reviews, interviews)
- Gather and provide performance feedback for reviews
- Coordinate with section managers and program management office
