Section Head, Orthopaedic Sports MedicineAt the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute, we combine Ochsner’s award-winning sports medicine and orthopedic programs with the expertise of renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. As a leader in comprehensive athlete care, we provide world-class services to athletes of all levels – from professional to middle school.
Under the direction of the Department Chair, the Section Head serves in a strategic leadership role with oversite of assigned section. The Section Head will collaborate with leadership to drive the clinical and quality performance of the department and ensure patient safety and satisfaction, as well as provider engagement.
Our institute is home to the largest athletic training program in the region, with over 60 Athletic trainers in the greater New Orleans region dedicated to serving the needs of professional, collegiate, high school, and middle school athletes. We offer a full spectrum of services, including sports therapy, nutrition, psychology, and performance training, ensuring athletes receive exceptional care and support.
