Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a board-certified Child Neurologist to serve as Section Head in New Orleans, LA.
The successful candidate will possess proven leadership, team building, program development, and managerial experience. Responsibilities include practice growth, new program development, patient experience, physician recruiting, budget management, productivity, quality, and medical staff oversight.
The Section of Neurology comprises four physicians and two NPs, with a fifth neurologist and a third NP starting summer 2025. The team includes faculty trained in Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Medicine, and Headache, collaborating closely with pediatric neurosurgeons to provide comprehensive care, including surgical epilepsy management and neurostimulation devices.
Our comprehensive program includes 88 primary care pediatricians across 27 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi, with over 270 pediatric specialists. We offer a full range of pediatric specialty services, including congenital heart surgery, liver and bone marrow transplants, advanced GI and Hepatology, spine surgery, Hematology-Oncology, Cleft Palate/Cranio-Facial Surgery, and developmental pediatrics.
Ochsner Children’s cares for patients in a Level IV Neonatal ICU, PICU, pediatric CV-ICU, Pediatric EMU, and pediatric acute units, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room and transport team. We are constructing a new 5-story Children’s Hospital on our main campus, opening in 2028.
In addition to patient care, Ochsner Children’s Hospital has an ACGME-accredited residency program, teaching pediatric residents from Tulane-Ochsner and medical students from Tulane and the University of Queensland. We participate in research and multi-center studies.
