Job summary

LeadingAge Virginia is seeking a physician to lead primary care delivery at the Hampton VA Medical Center. The role includes supervision of staff and ensuring high-quality patient care within the PACT model.

The position requires MD/DO, full US licensure, and VA-approved residency; 2+ years in primary care preferred, with English proficiency and a pre-employment physical. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligibility per VA policy.
• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory.
• Residency training leading to board eligibility; approved by VA.
• Preferred 2 years of Primary Care experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Pass pre-employment physical per VA Handbook 5019.
• Proficiency in English.
• Full-time Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary care delivery within the defined section and supervise staff.
• Plan, organize, develop, implement, and refine patient management within clinic.
• Provide clinical leadership and necessary guidance to section staff.
• Ensure high-quality care within the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model.
• Maintain records of meetings and evaluate action effectiveness.
