Job summary

ALCO Management in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Occupancy Coordinator to support the Community Manager by maintaining the waitlist, processing applications, and ensuring HUD and Local Housing Authority compliance. You will handle initial move-ins, certifications, rent documentation, lease execution, and regular coordination with residents and regulatory partners in a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge of Section 8, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and property

Qualifications

• Must have solid understanding of Section 8 and HUD compliance requirements.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple certifications and deadlines.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, regulators, and staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the waitlist in compliance with Section 8.
• Process rental applications, prepare leases, and submit occupancy documents.
• Complete initial, interim, and annual certifications on schedule.
• Maintain resident files and ensure regulatory reporting accuracy.
• Execute leases within approved parameters under supervision.
