Job summary

Infinitive is seeking a Section 508 Testing & Remediation Specialist to ensure digital products, web apps, documents, and software comply with Section 508 and WCAG. You will perform rigorous manual and automated accessibility testing, identify gaps, and provide remediation guidance to developers and content creators, while drafting VPATs and ACRs.

You will drive accessibility best practices across design, development, and delivery teams in support of government programs.

Qualifications

3+ years of dedicated accessibility testing/remediation/reporting experience for web, mobile, or documents.
Deep knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2, and WAI-ARIA 1.2.
Hands-on experience with screen readers (JAWS/NVDA/VoiceOver).
Experience with automated audit tools (Axe, WAVE, Deque Worldspace, ARC, Accessibility Insights).
Proficiency in semantic HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and ARIA.
Experience remediating complex PDFs and MS Office docs using Acrobat Pro DC, CommonLook, or Equidox.
Experience writing VPAT and ACR documents.

Responsibilities

Conduct automated and manual accessibility testing on web apps, mobile apps, desktop software, and documents.
Test digital assets with leading assistive technologies and document results with clear steps.
Provide remediation guidance to frontend developers, UX designers, and content authors.
Remediate PDFs and multimedia to meet Section 508 requirements.
Review code, audit accessibility trees, DOM structures, and design components in design systems.
Draft and maintain VPAT 2.4/INT or Revised Section 508 Accessibility Reports (ACRs).
Educate teams on accessibility standards and establish testing workflows and CI/CD integration.
