Job summary

Infinitive is seeking a Section 508 Testing & Remediation Specialist to ensure federal accessibility standards are met across web, mobile, documents, and software. You will perform automated and manual testing, identify gaps, provide remediation guidance to developers and content authors, and draft VPATs and ACRs, serving as a subject matter expert on accessibility best practices for government programs.

This is a high-impact role requiring collaboration with design, development, and delivery

Qualifications

• Experience performing accessibility testing, remediation, and reporting for digital products.
• Deep knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2 levels A/AA, and ARIA 1.2.
• Hands-on with screen readers (JAWS/NVDA/VoiceOver) and standard AT configurations.
• Experience with automated accessibility audits and manual testing tools.
• Proficiency in semantic HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and ARIA practices.
• Remediation of complex PDFs and Office documents using specialized tools.
• Clear defect reports and VPAT/ACR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated and manual accessibility testing on web apps, mobile apps, desktop software, and documents.
• Test with assistive technologies including screen readers and magnifiers; document results with steps.
• Identify, document, and track accessibility bugs with clear references.
