Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is seeking a hands-on Accessibility Specialist to drive modernization and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 across the Enterprise Copyright System. You will balance remediation with long-term risk reduction and collaborate with engineering, design, QA, and client stakeholders to embed accessibility throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508.
• Hands-on accessibility testing with automated and manual methods.
• Experience with assistive technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, or similar tools.
• Experience collaborating with software engineering, design, product, and QA teams to identify and resolve accessibility issues.
• Experience working with modern web technologies and understanding how HTML, CSS, JavaScript can impact accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead accessibility audits and identify systemic issues across the Design System and development pipeline.
• Address high-impact accessibility issues through remediation of reusable components and patterns.
• Develop and maintain a framework for prioritizing accessibility issues based on impact and risk.
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize accessibility work and guide technical conversations.
• Work within design system codebase to ensure WCAG 2.1 AA conformance in real-world use.
• Collaborate with testing and engineering to strengthen CI/CD accessibility testing.
• Mentor teams to build broader accessibility expertise throughout the lifecycle.
