Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or related field required.
• Postgraduate license with Administration and Supervision endorsement.
• Three years of successful experience as an administrator in special education or related leadership.
• Experience with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and related programming.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze situations to respond to inquiries from administrators, teachers, parents and stakeholders about Section 504.
• Provide guidance to building-level administrators on Section 504 regulations.
• Coordinate administrative placements for programming purposes.
• Generate reports meeting federal, state and local Section 504 reporting requirements.
• Facilitate quarterly meetings with Section 504 Administrators/Coordinators.
• Conduct professional development opportunities for stakeholders.
• Develop long- and short-range plans for Section 504 programming.
• Consult with Section 504 teams on meeting facilitation.
• Participate in Manifestation Determination Reviews and stay current on trends.
• Assist in evaluating and coaching Section 504 teams.
• Remain current on federal and state laws related to Section 504.
• Serve on local and state committees as requested.
