Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience with 504 plans or IEPs.
• Valid Virginia Teaching License or eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develops annual timelines for 504 coordinators and staff training.
• Collaborates with administrators and 504 coordinators to support 504 plans and meetings.
• Participates in initial evaluation, reevaluation, eligibility and 504 plan meetings.
• Provides case consultation to building-level teams through observation and participation in meetings.
• Makes recommendations and conducts follow-up meetings on 504 cases across the division.
• Participates in crisis planning, incident reports, and discipline matters involving students with 504 plans.
• Collaborates with leadership to address grievances related to 504 plans.
• Provides ongoing training for teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and service providers.
