Qualifications

  • Five years of clerical office work experience.

  • Ability to handle confidential work with tact and discretion.
  • Knowledge of business communications and public relations.

Responsibilities

  • Open, scan, read and distribute mail and compose official correspondence.
  • Screen calls, provide information or refer to staff; greet visitors.
  • Manage calendar, travel itineraries, arrange meetings and expenses.
  • Prepare and transcribe confidential or technical material with accuracy.
  • Present facts to committees; draft proposed legislation and budget items.
  • Supervise administrative or clerical staff as needed.
