Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Linux System Administrator for a defense client to support secure, mission-critical infrastructure in a classified environment. The role focuses on administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), implementing automation with Ansible, ensuring STIG compliance, and maintaining resilient cybersecurity and availability across systems.

Applicants should have 4–7 years of experience, relevant certifications, and DoD/IC experience preferred; AWS experience and virtualization

Qualifications

• Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
• 4-7 years of Systems Administration and/or Systems Engineering experience.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.
• Experience hardening systems and applying STIGs.
• System monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and manage system configurations.

A defense client is seeking a Linux System Admin to support secure, mission-critical infrastructure within a classified environment. This individual will administer and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, implement infrastructure automation through tools such as Ansible, perform system hardening and STIG compliance activities, and support the deployment and maintenance of secure computing environments. Responsibilities include monitoring system health, installing and maintaining monitoring agents, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, managing system configurations, and ensuring systems meet strict cybersecurity, availability, and resilience requirements.
