Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Top Secret Linux Systems Administrator to support a federal program in Dahlgren, VA. The role is onsite and requires 4–5 years of Linux experience, Top Secret clearance, and IAT II certification.

Travel of 10-25% is possible as duties expand across servers and workstations, backups, and testing cycles. The candidate will manage Linux configurations, perform software installations and upgrades, and work with HP and Dell hardware.

Qualifications

Insight Global is seeking a Top Secret Linux Systems Administrator to support a federal program in Dahlgren, VA. This individual will be responsible for administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining Linux-based servers and workstations while supporting system configurations, software installations, upgrades, backups, and testing activities. Candidates must have 4-5 years of experience supporting Linux systems, strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills, and experience working with HP and Dell hardware. Candidates must also have an active Top Secret clearance and active IAT Level II certification at the time of hire. This role is fully onsite in Dahlgren and may require 10-25% travel. The pay for this role ranges from $40-$51/hour, based on experience.

Skills and Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience administering Linux-based servers and workstations
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Active IAT Level II certification
• High School Diploma
• Strong Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and system management skills
• Experience working with HP and Dell hardware
• Experience supporting software/application installations, upgrades, licensing, backups, and recovery
• Familiarity with Linux technologies/tools such as Bash, Kickstart, UDEV, NMCLI, GDM, PTP, and iRIG
• Willingness to travel 10-25%
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience working with Jira, Scrum, sprints, and epics
• Experience creating or updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Experience supporting clustered systems and multiple interconnected devices
