Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Classified Cybersecurity Analyst to support information system lifecycle activities at the Melbourne, FL site. The role requires on-site work with a Secret clearance and involves audits, assessments, and security certifications.

Responsibilities include continuous monitoring, compliance with government policies, and contributing to RMF/A&A processes. Fresh graduates or experienced professionals with required certifications are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a relevant High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience is required
• Must meet DCWF Work Role Information Systems Security Officer (721) with a proficiency level of basic with foundational certifications within 9 months of hire (E.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or SANS GCIH).
• Candidates must have a current US Government Secret security clearance (at a minimum) to be considered
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to security data (e.g., anomaly detection, phishing classification, threat‑intel enrichment) or a recognized AI‑related certification (e.g., Microsoft AI‑102, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, SANS SEC599 – Advanced Cloud & AI Security)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph is preferred
• Current Security+ CE (or greater)
• 4 years of experience with Certification & Accreditation of classified systems under RMF (Risk Management Frameworks)
• Experience in cybersecurity compliance (ex., Assessment & Authorization under RMF)
• Top Secret, SAP/SAR access, SCI access, and/or a Polygraph
• Knowledge of security frameworks and documentation such as NIST, JSIG, DAAG, SSPs, POA&Ms, and SCTMs

Responsibilities

• Conduct system audits and continuous monitoring activities, covering all security controls, configurations, and operational processes to evaluate the security posture of the information systems.
• Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
• Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
• Assist in the implementation of the required government policy, make recommendations on process tailoring, and participate in and document process activities.
• Work within strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of systems.
• Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports.
• Document the results of A&A activities, and technical or coordination activities, and prepare the Risk Management Framework body of evidence.
