Job summary

INDUS Technology, Inc. is seeking a Waterfront Combat Systems Engineering Support Specialist in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on readiness assessments, shipboard inspections, and technical reporting in support of the Littoral Combat Ship program.

You will engage with naval crews and waterfront stakeholders to identify issues affecting fleet readiness and provide engineering guidance. The position requires an active secret clearance, a high school diploma, and at least three years of DoD combat

Qualifications

• Active secret clearance required.
• HS Diploma required.
• Three (3) years of experience providing combat systems engineering and technical support in a U.S. Navy waterfront or similar DoD environment.
• Ability to conduct readiness assessments using fleet reports and performance data.
• Ability to perform on-ship inspections and verifications, gather Objective Quality Evidence, assess material condition, and validate corrective actions.
• Ability to document and present findings, status reports, and action plans.
• Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Act as waterfront program representative engaging with Ships’ Crew, LCSRON personnel, and waterfront stakeholders to identify fleet readiness issues.
• Provide technical guidance on maintenance and installation procedures.
• Conduct readiness risk assessments using fleet reports and performance data.
• Apply reliability and maintainability techniques during studies and analyses.
• Perform on-ship inspections and verifications to gather evidence and validate corrective actions.
• Identify and propose solutions to emergent fleet problems.
• Document findings, status reports, action plans, and lessons learned for leadership.
• Support bid and proposal activities if requested.
