Job summary

JSL Technologies, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a Waterfront Combat Systems Engineering Support Specialist to provide direct engineering and technical support to the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Ship Readiness Office and waterfront stakeholders.

The position supports readiness assessments, engineering analyses, shipboard inspections, corrective-action validation, and technical reporting, collaborating with crews, waterfront staff, and senior leadership to verify fleet readiness and resolve emergent

Qualifications

• Experience in waterfront engineering or naval systems.
• Ability to perform readiness assessments using fleet data.
• Experience conducting shipboard inspections and validating actions.
• Familiarity with reliability and maintainability techniques and risk analyses.

Responsibilities

• Act as waterfront program representative with Ships’ Crew and waterfront stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance on maintenance and installation procedures.
• Conduct readiness assessments using fleet reports and performance data.
• Apply reliability and maintainability techniques during analyses and trade studies.
• Perform on-ship inspections and verifications to gather evidence and validate corrective actions.
• Document and present findings and action plans to leadership.
