Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Secret-cleared software engineer for an on-site role in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities include maintaining Windows/Linux environments, upgrading software/firmware, and developing automation for patch deployment while ensuring cyber defense and DISA STIG compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in engineering or related field.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Experience with DISA STIGs, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• National Incident Management System (NIMS) Framework
• Experience with software version control and issue tracking tools.
• Experience developing and maintaining scripts in PowerShell, Bash and/or Python for system administration and patch deployment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade system software and firmware.
• Develop automation scripts for patch deployments.
• Support software testing, validation, and documentation efforts.
• Manage software version control and configuration management processes.
• Assist with C&A documentation and risk assessments.
• Support cybersecurity compliance, including applying security patches and remediation.
