Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineer (Level 3/4) to perform performance analysis on tracking and state estimation algorithms, and to develop tools using modern C++ and Python in a dynamic defense tech environment.

Required are strong math skills and experience with Linux, modern C++ features, and Python. Occasional travel and security clearance are noted; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with required experience, or PhD option.
• Experience with Linux and modern C++ (templates, move semantics, smart pointers).
• Python experience and strong mathematical background.

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance of tracking and state estimation algorithms.
• Develop tools and prototypes using C++ and Python.
• Track and resolve algorithm defects.
• Develop analysis tools in Python.
• Provide technical documentation input.
• Contribute to customer-facing presentations.
