Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Security STIG Tester to join the GSMO-II team at Ft. Meade, MD. The role involves performing and reviewing security assessments using STIG checklists, SCAP scans, and ACAS/ESS scans, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

Required are active Secret clearance, RMF/SDLC expertise, and DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+). Competitive pay range and benefits accompany this full‑time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 8+ years of related experience.
• Experience with STIG compliance, SCAP tools, vulnerability assessments and reporting.
• Experience using eMASS and/or Xacta.
• Solid understanding of RMF and SDLC.
• DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Sec+) required.
• Must be eligible for U.S. government work and hold active secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date STIG checklists and enforce settings with minimal impact.
• Educate admins on STIG requirements and edits as needed.
• Review STIG test results and communicate to system owners.
• Track response times and report findings for security briefing.
• Support POA&M analysis and eMASS updates.
• Perform cybersecurity lab testing and hardening activities.
• Review ACAS/ESS data and update scans.
• Maintain SOPs for testing and reporting.
• Support testing events and preparations.
• Conduct vulnerability/risk analyses across SDLC.
• Ensure RMF artifacts are prepared per RMF/NIST 800-37.
