General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer for the MTCCS II program to design, plan, implement, and oversee classified and unclassified networks supporting exercises and events across WAN and LAN, including voice, data, and video services.

You will manage integration with external networks (NIPR/SIPR/CENTRIXS) and coordinate with other MTCs and training sites; work with Cisco routers/switches, VMware ESXi/Vcenter, Windows Server, and RHEL; apply RMF/DoD controls

Qualifications

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT II baseline CE certification required.
  • Minimum six years of related experience in network architecture design, implementation, management and system administration.
  • Experience with RMF methodology and Certification & Accreditation process.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux (RHEL).
  • Cisco routers and switches; VMWare; Active Directory; SharePoint/Outlook servers.
  • Security+ or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, implement, and oversee classified and unclassified MTC networks, both WAN and LAN, that support voice, data, and video services for exercises and events.
  • Manages MTC integration and use of networks owned and managed by external organizations, including NIPR, SIPR, CENTRIXS, tactical networks, and other networks as required.
  • Coordinates network design, requirements, and responsibilities with other MTCs and training sites, training units, and external network and communications organizations.
  • Builds and maintains system environments utilizing provided hardware and software, including but not limited to, Cisco routers and switches, VMWare EXSi and Vcenter, REDCOM, Windows Server, RHEL.
  • Maintain enterprise level servers to support events and training.
  • Responsible for applying system updates and quarterly patches/IAVAs, SRG/STIGS, configuring access control lists, analyzes, tests, and/or modifies network devices, and software programs, to provide pertinent solutions to system users, based and related to user or system design specifications
  • Monitor network and system performance and perform scheduled backups and recovery testing as necessary
  • Reviews and updates network and systems requirements for accuracy, and compliance with applicable doctrine
  • Monitors and reviews system logs for security audits, and system troubleshooting
  • Participates in special projects as required
