Job summary

CATHEXIS is seeking a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer to research, design, implement, and deploy ML algorithms for enterprise applications. The role supports federal customers in building their own tools for digital transformation and involves onsite work in Tysons, VA.

The candidate should have an active Secret clearance, a strong Python background, and 3+ years of relevant experience. MS/PhD preferred, with knowledge of ML and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Requires active Secret clearance or above.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/Stats or equivalent.
• MS/PhD in related field preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Applied ML across regression and classification (supervised/unsupervised).
• Strong foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability, statistics.
• Experience with scalable ML (MapReduce, streaming).
• Ability to work independently and in a team with execution focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
