Job summary

Waypoint's client seeks a Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy ML algorithms for federal customers, enabling data-driven decisions and digital transformation.

The role collaborates with data scientists, software engineers, and SMEs and requires a BS in CS/EE/Statistics, 5–10 years of experience, and strong Python and ML skills. Active TS/SCI CI Poly or Full Scope Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph or Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields required.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields preferred.
• Minimum 5–10 years relevant work experience preferred.
• Excellent programming skills in Python.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, implement, and deploy Machine Learning algorithms for enterprise applications.
• Assist and enable federal customers to build their own applications.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features.
