Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Palmdale, CA. This on-site role integrates manufacturing engineering with cross-functional collaboration to deliver complex aerospace systems. The candidate will apply a hands-on engineering approach, support design-for-manufacturing decisions, and work a 2nd shift (3:00pm – 1:30am).

A Bachelor’s Degree and active U.S. Government Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; STEM background preferred.
Experience in assembly/fabrication and production environments.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret clearance within 5 years.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Strong communication with leadership, clients, and vendors.
Ability to work 2nd shift (3:00pm–1:30am) and adapt to schedules.
Ability to lift and perform tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide manufacturing engineering guidance to optimize design concepts and manufacturing techniques.
Participate in tool design reviews to reduce build times and costs.
Define sequence of operations for product builds and drive corrective actions.
Collaborate with Engineering to influence producibility and cost improvements.
