Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking a 2nd shift assembler. You will perform assembly and disassembly operations on cables, mechanical and electronic assemblies using jigs, fixtures, soldering irons, and other hand tools to meet quality and process specifications. Candidates must typically hold a HS diploma and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S.

government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and disassembly to modify, repair, rework, retrofit, upgrade and assemble cables, mechanical, electronic, microelectronic and hi-res assemblies and subassemblies.
• Use jigs, fixtures, soldering irons and other hand and power tools, operate departmental machines and equipment as required.
• Receive and dispense materials to lines; move material as directed.
• Verify workmanship and product quality according to defined standards.
• Collect data and maintain records as required.
• Comply with hazardous waste handling/disposal procedures.
• Capable of lifting up to 28 lbs and completing required training.
